The 3M Tempa DOT AX thermometers are a single-use, disposable clinical thermomether with an adhesive strip to hold itself in place in the underarm area when measuring axillary body temperature. Tempa DOT AX termometers are individually wrapped, clean, accurate, convenient, versatile and economical body temperature measuring devices. Clinically accurate axillary body temperature can be obtained in three minutes. Tempa DOT AX thermometers are specially designed with an adhesive strip to hold themselves in place in the axilla (underarm). This product is clean (but not sterile) and packed 80 to a box. These products are especially suited for use with children or other patients who may not be cooperative for oral temperatures. This product is also suited for applications where sterility or infection control issues are not the primary use issues. TempaDOT AX thermometers use a dot sensor matrix consisting of temperature-sensitive indicating dots. Each dot changes color from tan to blue at a specific temperature relative to the melting point of the specific chemical mixture in the dot. Each dot changes color at a temperature of 0.2F or 0.1C higher than the preceding dot. Body temperature is read from a numerical temperature scale.
